TJR178Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to remove my power steering pump, but I can't find a tool to remove the fluid return line from the pump. It's an 18mm nut, but it's really hard to get at with any tool that I have. If I can get this line off, I can remove the pump and change out my failed pulley.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks!

TJR178FYI, #2 is what I'm talking about.

robinneed a special type of wrench slides over the top second youtube might help a bit more good luck.

TJR178Thanks, Robin. I actually tried those, but due to the fact that there is no room for the wrench to fit/turn, they didn't work. I was just thinking about trying a crows foot wrench on a rachet. I'm going to try that today once I go get a set of crows feet.
u00tjs2Search for; Flare nut wrench @ Sears, Amazon or??? A Crows foot might be easiest to access. Good luck

TJR178Update: I managed to remove the nut last night with this wonder tool called a crescent wrench. I hate using these things, but it worked with no damage to the nut.
TJR178Here's the bad pulley as reference. You can see where the wheel was spinning on the boss causing the rattling, which was getting worse:
